Joules
This boy is called Joules and he is a 5 year old German Shepherd. He is an impressive looking guy who seems fit and healthy and thoroughly enjoys his walks. He is good on the lead and and is happier on a long extender which gives him more freedom to do his own thing. He is actually a real pleasure to walk. He's not a trouble causer when he walks past other dogs but he hasn't been fully dog tested to date. We are unable to cat test Joules. Joules has some basic commands and he likes human contact.
Joules came into our care from the council pound so we do not have any history on him so with that in mind we could not re-home him with young children but would consider teenagers based on introductions. Joules needs a lovely dog friendly home to continue his life in so if you are interested in Joules please fill in our online enquiry form.

Blue
Say hello to Blue. Blue has recently come into our care after being found as a stray and not being claimed. He is 2/3 years old Lurcher but being a stray we obviously have no history on the boy. It’s obvious he is a lovely dog and he even sits nicely for a photo. We could not re home Blue in a home with children under teen age due to the lack of history and we will post more information as we get to know him more but he is ready for rehoming now.

Freddy
This young boy is called Freddy. He is 8 months old and we think Anatolian shepherd crossbreed. He is already the size of a large Labrador, so will be a big dog. Freddy is full of energy and can be a bouncy pup so he will need boundaries and training. Young Freddy already walks well on the lead; especially on a long extender lead which gives him that bit more freedom to sniff and play. Freddy is interested in looking at other dogs when out walking but that is as far as it has gone. He hasn't been properly dog tested yet and we are unable to cat test him properly. Due to his size we are saying no small children but teenage and above should be fine. Freddy responds well to friendly correction when out walking so bringing his excitement level down and continuing walking is not an issue. Young Freddy is a lovely boy who needs to start his best life in a dog friendly home. If you would like to express your interest in Freddy please complete our website online enquiry form.
Rocky
Meet our new arrival Rocky. He's a handsome German Shepherd aged 4-5. Rocky recently came into our care from the council pound. Rocky is showing himself to be a lovely friendly boy who loves human contact from people he knows. Rocky seems fit and healthy and enjoys his walks and runs. He is good on a short and long lead but as you can see from his pictures does prefer the freedom on a long lead. Rocky has mastered the basic commands of sit, stay and paw and likes a treat or two for obeying the commands. We are not in a position of cat testing Rocky and he hasn't been fully dog tested. Rocky could live with older teenage children. If you would like to express your interest in Rocky please complete our website online enquiry form.
Zorro
Zorro is a 6 year old Shar Pei cross Labrador boy. He originally lacked in confidence and he hadn’t been walked much but his true character is showing now he has come out of his shell.
He has lived with cats, chickens and guinea pigs and doesn't seem to have any prey drive at all. He is reactive to other dogs, especially small energetic ones, so would need to be an only dog in the household. Zorro is fit and healthy but his eyesight is not as good as what it should be in very low light situations.
He loves a good cuddle with his human friends and is a pleasantly affectionate boy.
He really loves his long walks and would be best suited in an active home. Zorro could be re homed in a adult only home. He loves his food and treats which will make any further training that much easier and fun.
If you are interested in adopting or would just like to meet him initially please complete our enquiry form on our website. http://dunroamin-k9rescue.weebly.com/enquiry-form.html

Bonnie
Bonnie is an 18 month old crossbreed who is always pleased to see you.
She is a fit and healthy young girl who is about Labrador height and a bit chunkier in build.
Bonnie is friendly and affectionate and loves human contact.
Being a youngster she is lively and would be best suited in an active home that has dog experience.
She knows some basic commands and is responsive to treats so they could be built upon during your initial bonding time. Bonnie is showing herself to be a lovely girl but is also sometimes showing her lack of socialisation with some other dogs in the kennels that have that same disadvantage; but being young this could be worked on with success at kennels and then in a home. We are not in a position to cat test Bonnie.
Currently we feel if children are in the home she would be best suited with teenagers or above due to her occasional excitement and jumping.
