Mabel
Mabel is a German Shepherd girl of about 3 years old. Unfortunately she was found as a stray and not claimed so we have no prior history. After a cleaned up we ended up with this beautiful jet black German Shepherd with a very lovely nature. Mabel loves human contact and is a real pleasure to be around. She currently doesn’t show much interest in toys and she hasn’t been socialised; preferring to hide behind her handler when another dog makes close contact. Mabel does not pull on the lead but it’s obvious she hasn’t had any lead training because she is all over the place and can become a trip hazard on occasions so she needs a patient person to help her with this. We think children around 11 yrs and above would be better suited for Mabel.
Summary: Mabel is a lovely young dog who will thrive with proper regular exercise and a stable loving home.

Benji
Benji is a 18 month old Border Collie. He is a fit and healthy neutered boy who has plenty of energy. He would be best suited in an active household with Border Collie experience.
Benji has shown himself to be a lovely dog in general but he is initially nervous when meeting men for the first time but if you are nice and patient with him his nervousness goes away and he loves a stroke and cuddle.
Benji obviously loves long walks and is fine on a long extender type lead but does initially pull on a short lead. Benji is not ready to be walked off the lead until his recall is at 100% successful.
We are not in a position to cat test Benji and we haven’t fully dog tested him as yet.

Zorro
Zorro is a 5 year old Shar Pei cross Labrador boy. He has come into our care through no fault of his own and we find him to be a lovely boy.He originally lacked in confidence and he hadn’t been walked much but his true character is showing now he has come out of his shell in the time he has been with us. He loves a good cuddle with his human friends and is a pleasantly affectionate boy.
He really loves his long walks and would be best suited in an active home. He loves his food and treats which will make any further training that much easier and fun.
Zorro has lived with other dogs but since being in the kennel environment he has shown that he doesn’t much care for some dogs sniffing his face.
We are unfortunately not in a position to properly cat test him. He could live with older calmer children. Zorro is fit and healthy so if you are interested in adopting or would just like to meet him initially please complete our enquiry form

Apollo
Apollo is a 8 year old Siberian Husky who has sadly come into our care through no fault of his own.
Apollo is in good health, good fitness and has youthful looks as you can see from his pictures.
He will show us some basic commands he has learnt along the way and is proving to be a really lovely boy.
Apollo is well mannered on the lead and enjoys that extra freedom on a longer lead or extender lead.
It is widely known that the Husky breed is not good off the lead for a few reasons so it is highly recommended never to have Apollo off the lead while out walking.
If there are children in the home we could only consider teens and up as suitable.
Apollo hasn’t been directly tested with other dogs as yet but has walked past them with no response or an initial playful response. We are not in a position to cat test Apollo.
Breed experience is recommended when adopting a Husky.

Bonnie
Bonnie is an 18 month old crossbreed who is always pleased to see you.
She is a fit and healthy young girl who is about Labrador height and a bit chunkier in build.
Bonnie is friendly and affectionate and loves human contact.
Being a youngster she is lively and would be best suited in an active home that has dog experience.
She knows some basic commands and is responsive to treats so they could be built upon during your initial bonding time. Bonnie is showing herself to be a lovely girl but is also sometimes showing her lack of socialisation with some other dogs in the kennels that have that same disadvantage; but being young this could be worked on with success at kennels and then in a home. We are not in a position to cat test Bonnie.
Currently we feel if children are in the home she would be best suited with teenagers or above due to her occasional excitement and jumping.
